Volunteering
Cowichan Family Life volunteers now out-number staff four to
one. All our volunteers receive support, training, and an
orientation to the agency.
We have two program sites, our office on Charlotte Road and the
Alexander Family Resource Centre on Beverly Street. There are
many ways to support the work that we do in the valley.
We have a great Board of Directors and a major fundraising event per year; The Cowichan Valley Garden Tour.
All the funds from our event go
directly to the services we provide to the community.
Please contact Beverly Stretch at beverly.cfla@shawcable.com
or call for an appointment if you would like to volunteer on the
board, on a fundraising committee or have another great idea we
have not thought of! Our agency was established and continues to
flourish because of the care and creativity of the people of the
Cowichan Valley.
Check our "volunteering" section on the menu
& go to "counsellor training" to find out
when we're hosting the next Volunteer Counsellor Training
event. If you are interested in finding out more about the
Volunteer Counselling Program, contact Bonnie at bonnie.cfla@shawcable.com.
