Harmony for Kids
Social and Emotional Skills Building Group

Harmony is a group for 5-12 year olds that focuses on enhancing empathetic social and emotional skills. Research has shown that these skills increase a child's assets, thereby supporting their growth to become healthy, happy and effective individuals within their communities.

This co-ed group will concentrate on the benefits of cooperation, the importance of virtues like kindness, community service, empathy, trust, and acceptance to name a few. The focus will be on respect for others, listening skills, giving and receiving compliments or "gifts of confidence".  children learn "cooling off" techniques, self-regulation of behaviours, and how to problem solve  in social situations.
